Slide, black like ice, black like glass. Breathing my own flesh to burn away the past I once had. I am bane, all my rage in flames. The hope, the hate, the love, the loss, has left me here; a blight, a stain.
As I count down every moment, while I hunt down every name, this is who I am now, this is the only way. It’s too late for me, and now I’m crushing everything that I try to hold.
If I could spend just a moment not being told, no one expecting my fate to unfold. Even my name was never my own. I am the shadow, I am last. I am half-hearted, but do I have the strength to finish what you started? Burn, every second, of every minute, beneath the agony. Behold as the pain I now live is eternal yet the suffering feeds my strength.
So slide into the only path, and kill the past.
Run with me, or you should run from me.
That boy that you knew was weak, and so I buried him dead. You’ll never know the hatred.
